| The site is only four miles from historic
Lexington. The downtown area has been historically preserved
with original buildings dating from the nineteenth century.
Besides the quaint architecture of the town, it is filled
with interesting shops and historical sites. The campuses of
Washington and Lee and the Virginia Military Institute
border the downtown area. Special attractions of the town
include graves of Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson.
Lexington also has a delightful outdoor theatre, Lime Kiln,
which shows plays and concerts throughout the summer.
Nearby natural attractions include Natural Bridge, Goshen
Pass, and Lake Robertson. |
